Well, I have been sick and tired of nothing but horrible jerky to be found in Metro Detroit. That was until I searched online for a better answer and found it - The Jerky Outlet.
We travelled up to Exit 168 this afternoon to sample the wares and ended up walking out with 6 pounds of simply the best jerky we have tasted!
We didn't try them all, but the Smoked Buffalo was AWESOME. Barbeque Beef was INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS. Honey Glazed Turkey was WONDERFUL. Others tried were BBQ Buffalo, Smoked Turkey, Smoked Beef and Smoked Venison - all GREAT.
Can't wait to dig into the purchased goods with my fishing group over the next few days!
Also bought some Smoked Whitefish, but will wait to try on the fishing trip - I have a hunch that it will be tasty.
For those of you snapping into Slim Jims - I feel sorry for you - what in the world do you think you are eating???
Get to the Outlet - Exit 168 seems to be the distribution point and has it all - by the pounds!!
